Shibacoin launched in early 2025 on the Pepecoin template — a Dogecoin-1.14-class fork — with AuxPoW accepted from block 24,000 and addresses starting with S. ShibaCoin Core 1.2.1 shipped 2025-08-16; the release cadence has slowed since, which we note plainly. It is a meme coin; this page measures its chain.

SHIC runs 60-second blocks and is carried by ViaBTC (which launched its SHIC pool with a 30-day zero-fee promo) and F2Pool — thinner carriage than BELLS, PEP or LKY, which shows directly in the pull-rate tile above.

Not on its own, and you don’t need to: Shibacoin is merge-mined (AuxPoW) under Litecoin parent pools.
