This node is still syncing from genesis

Our Bellscoin node is in initial block download — verifying the chain block-by-block over the coin’s P2P network, the only way we ingest data. Until verification completes, this page shows sync progress and nothing else: no borrowed explorer numbers, no third-party hashrate, nothing pretending to be our measurement.

What Bellscoin is

Bellscoin is the 2013 scrypt chain often described as Dogecoin’s twin — it predates DOGE by weeks — revived and under active development again since late 2024. The current node (BellsChain/bellscoin, v3 era) is built on a Bitcoin Core 26.0 base, the most modern codebase among the Litecoin-side crosses. Blocks target 60 seconds and the subsidy halves every 100,000 blocks.

Since height 144,000 the chain accepts AuxPoW (chain ID 16): Litecoin pools fold BELLS into their merged basket, so the work securing it is scrypt work done for Litecoin. Pool carriage is the broadest of any side coin — ViaBTC (since 2024-08-27), F2Pool, Binance Pool, Antpool, EMCD, Kryptex and Mining-Dutch all pay BELLS as a kicker on LTC payouts.

Public data on the chain stops at basic explorer browsing. Per-block fee series, block telemetry and parent-pool attribution are recorded by nobody — BasinTwo’s own node archives them forward from 2026-10-02.

FAQ

What is Bellscoin (BELLS)?
Bellscoin (BELLS) is a scrypt proof-of-work coin from 2013, revived in 2024, running 60-second blocks with 100,000-block halvings on a Bitcoin Core 26.0-based node. Since height 144,000 it is merge-mined (AuxPoW) under Litecoin parent pools.
Can you mine Bellscoin directly?
Not on its own, and you don’t need to: Bellscoin is merge-mined (AuxPoW) under Litecoin parent pools. Point your scrypt machine at a pool that carries BELLS — ViaBTC, F2Pool, Binance Pool, Antpool, EMCD, Kryptex or Mining-Dutch — and it arrives as a kicker on your LTC payouts, for the same hashes you were already doing. Solo AuxPoW setups exist, but pool merged mining is how virtually all BELLS blocks are found. BELLS has the broadest pool carriage of any side coin — odds are your LTC pool already pays it.
Where does this data come from?
From BasinTwo’s own Bellscoin full node, synced block-by-block from genesis over the coin’s P2P network — no snapshots, no third-party APIs. The page reads the same public JSON feeds anyone can: basintwo.com/api/chain/bells and basintwo.com/api/nodes/bells. Our forward archive for this chain began 2026-10-02; indicators that need deeper history say so instead of faking it.
