What Luckycoin is

Luckycoin is the 2013 scrypt chain Dogecoin itself was forked from. Revived in 2024 by the Luckycoin Foundation, it gained AuxPoW with its V3 upgrade in late 2024; Luckycoin Core 5.0.1 shipped 2025-12-23. One trait carried over from the original chain: random bonus block rewards, so the block subsidy is not a fixed schedule.

The chain runs 60-second blocks and is merge-mined under Litecoin parent pools — ViaBTC (since 2024-12-10), F2Pool, Binance Pool, Antpool, EMCD and Mining-Dutch — unusually strong carriage for its size, riding its status as Dogecoin’s direct ancestor.

luckyscan.org gives basic chain browsing; no telemetry series exists anywhere for this chain. BasinTwo’s own node archives it forward from 2026-10-02.

FAQ

What is Luckycoin (LKY)?
Luckycoin (LKY) is the 2013 scrypt proof-of-work chain Dogecoin forked from, revived in 2024 by the Luckycoin Foundation. It runs 60-second blocks with random bonus block rewards and is merge-mined (AuxPoW) under Litecoin parent pools.
Can you mine Luckycoin directly?
Not on its own, and you don’t need to: Luckycoin is merge-mined (AuxPoW) under Litecoin parent pools. Point your scrypt machine at a pool that carries LKY — ViaBTC, F2Pool, Binance Pool, Antpool, EMCD or Mining-Dutch — and it arrives as a kicker on your LTC payouts, for the same hashes you were already doing. Solo AuxPoW setups exist, but pool merged mining is how virtually all LKY blocks are found. Pool carriage is unusually broad for the chain’s size — Dogecoin’s direct ancestor gets seats smaller coins don’t.
Where does this data come from?
From BasinTwo’s own Luckycoin full node, synced block-by-block from genesis over the coin’s P2P network — no snapshots, no third-party APIs. The page reads the same public JSON feeds anyone can: basintwo.com/api/chain/lky and basintwo.com/api/nodes/lky. Our forward archive for this chain began 2026-10-02; indicators that need deeper history say so instead of faking it.
Source: BasinTwo’s own Luckycoin node. Figures refresh every 60s in your browser; when a feed is unreachable the page says so instead of guessing. Ribbon recipes are published in the API response itself.
